Using EEG Signals to Estimate Auditory Attention in Real Time

A few months after attending the Telluride Neuromorphic Cognition Engineering Workshop, where I was part of the auditory attention group, this video hit the web. I’m still amazed that we managed to develop this real-time system, probably the first of its kind.

Panda board is here

Today, the mailman brought a Panda board ES, a low-cost ARM 1.2 GHz multicore computer on a single board.

The next step will be to make Linux and Jamoma working on it (like Tim Place on his beagle board). Also the Satellite CCRMA project is on my radar….

Did I mention the Panda board is really small? See the picture on the left. The brown thing in plastic is a cranberry muffin from Brewed Awakening I picked up this morning.

I am a German-American university professor of spatial audio and audio for the Internet of Things (IoT).
